Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. As you use the platform, we record your practice and mock exam activity — answers, scores, time spent and progress — so we can show your readiness and study history back to you. If you contact us, we keep the details of that message.

2. User accounts

Your account is identified by your email address and secured by a password (or a sign-in link, where offered). To prevent account sharing, we record which single device is currently signed in; signing in on a new device signs the previous one out. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

3. Payment information

Payments are processed by Paystack. We do not collect or store your card, bank account, or other payment credential details ourselves — Paystack handles that under its own security standards and privacy policy. We keep a record of the transaction (amount, date, what was purchased, and status) to maintain your access and for our own accounting.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We also use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which sets cookies and uses similar technology to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to help us reach relevant audiences on Facebook and Instagram. See our Cookie Policy for full detail on the specific cookies we use.

5. Analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand overall usage patterns (for example, which pages are visited, and when someone signs up, starts checkout, or completes a purchase) so we can improve the platform. This data is subject to Google's own privacy policy. We also use the Meta Pixel to measure and optimise our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. This sends Meta certain interaction data — such as which pages you visit, when you create an account, and when you complete a purchase (including the amount) — so we can understand which ads lead to real sign-ups and purchases. This data is subject to Meta's own privacy policy and is not sold to third parties by us.

6. Examination data

Your answers, scores, mock exam results, bookmarks and study streaks are stored against your account so you can track your own progress over time. This data is private to your account — other users cannot see your individual results.

7. Data security

Account and study data are stored with our hosting and database provider (Supabase) using industry-standard security practices, including encryption in transit. Access to your data within our systems is restricted to what is needed to operate the service.

8. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. Where you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your personal data except where we are required to retain records (for example, payment records) for legal or accounting purposes.

9. Data retention

We retain your account and study data for as long as your account remains active. Payment records are retained for as long as required by applicable Nigerian tax and accounting law. If you delete your account, we remove personal data that we are not otherwise required to keep.

10. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact us at support@promopassng.com or via our Contact page.

11. Policy updates

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and material changes will be reflected here.
